Important Policies

  • All plans are automatically billed each month, on the same day, to your credit or debit card on file.
  • Classes expire in 60 days from billing date.
  • You must cancel one plan before purchasing another one to avoid being double billed. Please contact support@tuffgirlfitnessct.com
  • Classes are not extended out for weather, vacations, or if you miss class due to illness.
  • We do not credit or refund for any charges that have already been processed.
  • We do not credit for missed classes or late cancels.
  • Unused or expiring classes are not able to be transferred or shared with another member.
  • Classes cannot be transferred to another member.
  • Prices do not include CT sales tax
  • We offer a 15% student discount on monthly plans.
  • If you need to change or cancel your plan, we require at least five days advanced notice. Failure to provide five days notice will result in our being unable to process your request until the following month. Please contact support@tuffgirlfitnessct.com
  • We have a four hour cancellation policy for all classes. If you do not cancel out of class at least four hours before that class starts, you will be charged for class.

Gym Rules

Please pre-register for every class using Mindbody. To ensure there is enough space and equipment in class members are required to pre-register for every class. We do not allow drop ins.

If class is full you are welcome to add your name to the wait list. You will receive an email at least 4 hours prior to the start of class if you got in.

Please arrive early to your first class.

We have a four-hour class cancellation policy. You have up to 4 hours before class starts to remove your name from the class list and get that class back. If you remove your name after this period you will be charged for class.

Expectations

Each training session entails a 10-minute warm-up composed of soft tissue work and dynamic mobility movements, followed by 45-50 minutes of strength and metabolic training. Everyone at FMA trains one of three semi-customized programs: Absolute Strength, Total Performance, Strength For Life. Personalized programs that are designed specifically for the individual are also available. Each program is designed by our experienced coaches. There is no additional charge for semi-customized programs and a small fee for personalized program design. 

FMA Group Strength and Conditioning is a group interval training class combining different strength, metabolic (cardio), core and power movements all in one, fun filled hour. We use a variety of equipment ranging from dumbbells/kettlebells to TRX to heavy ropes and medicine balls. Come in, get a great training, have fun and share in the camaraderie of the group.

Is FMA for Me?

YES! You do not have to be an athlete, experienced lifter or “in shape” to train at FMA Performance; we will help you achieve those goals. What you do have to be is determined, have a sense of purpose, a strong will to give your absolute best every training session. Not everyone will be willing to give what we ask for…  But, if are ready for a change, ready to strive for the next level, ready to accomplish things you never thought possible, we are definitely for you.

Q. How long are training sessions?
A. Training sessions are approximately an hour in length.

Q. How many clients are in a class?
A. FMA Performance has a 15-person limit. FMA Group has a 30-person limit. Due to these limitations, registration is required for every class and we do not allow drop-ins.

Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. Yes. We offer a 15% student discount. A valid student ID is required during time of registration.

Q. What is your schedule?

Q. What do I need to bring?
A. FMA Performance provides all the equipment you need. Bring plenty of water, a towel if you want and proper training shoes. We suggest flat soled training shoes known as “minimalist” shoes. Several manufactures, such as Nike, Reebok and New Balance, have minimalist options. “Toning” shoes of any kind are not allowed in the gym.

Q. Where does training take place?
A. Training takes place at the 6000 square foot, privately owned facility run by fitness trainers Mike & Christa Doran.  We have two bathrooms and a changing room. There are no shower facilities.
