Whether you're new to running or you've been running for years, make your runs this spring your best!
This workshop is for anyone who runs for fun, conditioning, fat loss, competitively, to participate in local races, or to tackle mud runs and OCR events. 
RunSmart is a 3-hour workshop designed to make you a better, stronger runner while reducing your risk of injury. Get the most out of your runs this season! This hands on workshop will cover:

  •                understanding the benefits of cadence
  •                recommendations on footwear
  •                proper warm-up exercises
  •                drills to improve running technique
  •                basic principles of run programming
  •                how to design a progressive run program
  •                different types of run workouts and what they do
  •                sample run programs
  •                case studies

RunSmart will be presented by Dr Eric Lagoy and Hillary Maxson.

Dr Lagoy is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, board certified in orthopedics and an official provider of, a website designed for the public by healthcare practitioners who understand an individual's goals related to training & performance. He is currently working at Gaylord Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Cheshire, CT

Hillary is a coach at Tuff Girl Fitness, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and earned her Master's degree in exercise science and nutrition from Sacred Heart University. She has been running competitively for almost a decade and is the assistant track coach at OSHS.

Please dress comfortably as there will be coaching and practicing of all exercises and techniques covered.
